Key features
Maximum Cutting Height: The “Ex-Tall” designation refers to its significantly elongated cutting surface. This allows you to flush-trim triple-stacked 18mm (3/4″) panels or deep subwoofer baffles in a single, continuous pass.
Upcut Spiral Geometry: The helical design provides a constant slicing action. This eliminates bit chatter and vibration, producing a “glass-smooth” edge on wood and preventing “tear-out” on delicate veneers.
Solid Carbide Construction: Unlike bits that are just “tipped” with carbide, this is a solid piece of industrial carbide. This provides extreme rigidity, ensuring the bit doesn’t “flex” or bend even when under the heavy load of a deep cut.
No-Melt Plastic Routing: Engineered for thick Acrylic, PVC, and ABS. The upcut spiral pulls chips out of the cut instantly, which prevents heat from building up and “welding” the plastic back onto your finished edge.
Dual Precision Bearings: Most Ex-Tall models feature stacked ball bearings at the tip. This increased surface area provides a more stable guide against your Smart Template, preventing the bit from “diving” into the template.
