Overview

The Top Bearing Flush Trim Bit (1/4″ Shank) is a precision template-routing tool used to duplicate shapes when the template is mounted on top of the workpiece. Unlike standard flush trim bits where the bearing is at the tip, this model features a shank-mounted bearing that allows for plunge-cutting and shallow recessing

Collet Insertion: For maximum safety, ensure at least 3/4 of the shank is inserted into the router collet.Plunge Cutting: Because the bearing is behind the cutters, this bit can be plunged directly into the center of a workpiece to start a cut (e.g., cutting a speaker hole using a top-mounted circular template).Template Thickness: Works optimally with templates between 3mm and 6mm thick to ensure the bearing has a sufficient riding surface
